Strange Names + Carroll // Live in Philly

Some of Minneapolis' finest stopped by Philly this week to blow us all away.  We were lucky enough to catch the magic and chat with all the guys before the show.  Stay tuned later this week as we start our new segment, Chat in a Hat, where we passed a hat of random questions with both bands, and hilariousness ensued.

First up was new Philly transplants, Carroll, an extremely impressive blend of Indie Psych-Rock.  They treated us to some new tunes, and several songs off their newly self titled album.  If you haven't picked up that album, don't hesitate!   It's mostly likely going to end up on our year end list, so you'll be hearing about it again.  In the meantime, here's the link to check it out on iTunes.

Closing out the night was equally impressive Strange Names. A four piece that successfully transports us with a modern day 80s vibe.  With frontman Liam Benzvi's killer vocals and dance moves, you can't help but love everything about these guys.  Strange Names also released their debut album, Use Your Time Wisely, a few months ago.  Also one of our favorites from this year, incase you might have missed our review of it, be sure to do so HERE.
